Results achieved
The promoting innovative finance for development program organized a workshop of Asian foundations (participated by 30 foundations in Bangkok in June 2017) and Japan Impact Investment Forum (co-organized by the Japan Social Impact Investment Foundation, held in Tokyo in February 2017 attracting about 300 participants) with the aim of building a network of foundations and family offices and promoting impact investments in Asia. The Department also contracted the National University of Singapore and other parties to publish a collection of case studies on impact investments by European, U.S. and Asian foundations, and presented it at impact investment-related conferences in and outside Japan.
