Results achieved
Results achieved as of March 2012 include: Training of representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs) and local government administrations improved the ability of six district-level CSO coalitions to analyse budgets, conduct gender and pro-poor needs analysis, advocate for the interests of women and the poor and effectively participate in local government planning and budgeting processes. The project revitalized gender mainstreaming task forces in three provinces and one district and established new task forces in three additional districts. The project helped three local governments develop and implement an e-procurement program to increase transparency in government procurement processes. At the national level, the project strengthened the capacity of Ministry of Womens Empowerment staff in gender-responsive budgeting. These results have contributed to planning and budgeting for sustainable and equitable economic growth in Indonesia.
