Investments are evaluated in terms of financial, economic, environmental and social, and private sector development impact performances, the indicators for which are returns to financiers, returns to society, meeting IFC's performance standards, and general improvement of private sector respectively. Advisory services are evaluated in terms of strategic relevance, efficiency, and effectiveness, the indicators for which are potential impact on local, regional, national economies, return on investment in advisory operations, and improvement for client and broader private sector respectively.
