Project description
While Viet Nam has made significant progress in promoting gender equality for the last 20 years, gender inequality is still prevalent, exhibited by instances of violence against girls and women, and girls and women in rural, remote, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas being bound by customs and practices that limit their access to educational opportunities. The proposed programme will complement the implementation of the "We are ABLE" project, funded by the UNESCO Malala Fund for Girls' Right to Education, through (i) teachers' capacity building on school counselling work and awareness raising for parents, family members and students on SRGBV and (ii) the improvement of career orientation programmes and their delivery for lower secondary students in the three target provinces.
